This past Sunday, Clint did something I've been waiting on him to do since we met. He sang a solo at church. He is such a talented musician and it's something I don't think most people realize. He was in a band in high school and sang with them and I think did a few open mic nights in college, but nothing since then. In fact, I had never seen him sing before an audience. Yes, he plays guitar with the praise and worship team at church, but had not shared his vocal talents. I am so proud of him!
God has blessed him with these gifts and I'm happy that everyone got a small sampling of what Anna Ruth and I have the privilege of hearing every day. I so hope that she loves music as much as her daddy.
Below is the You Tube link to the video of him singing yesterday. (You will need to copy and paste into your browser. I haven't figured out to hyperlink with this app.) Video quality is poor since it was with my phone and I had someone else record it but you can still hear the song and that's all that matters. So turn up your volume and enjoy!

Looking back at 2012
2012 was our busiest and most exciting year yet. Here are some things that made the past year so memorable:
10) We rang in the new year with our family & shared the news that a little Davis was on the way.
9) Toured D.C. for the last time
8) After much prayer, made the decision to move back to TN
7) Packed up our townhouse in Annapolis (while I was extremely sick from pregnancy. Note: This will never happen again!) and said goodbye to our friends, co-workers and wonderful church family
6) Clint started his new job in February that allows him to have a 3 day weekend
5) We celebrated 5 years of marriage with a relaxing trip to Seabrook Island
4) I survived a sweltering summer being big with child!
3) In August our precious girl was born
2) Got to enjoy spending time with so many family and friends who came to meet Anna Ruth
1) Spent our first holiday season together as a family of 3 and prayed that God would continue to bless us in 2013!
...And we pray that same blessing for all of you. Happy New Year!

AR's 1st Wedding
One of Clint's co-workers got married yesterday and he specifically asked us to bring Anna Ruth to the wedding. We knew it was going to be a small affair and it wouldn't last too long so we decided to take her. If we were being totally truthful, we don't skip many opportunities to show her off, especially when her presence was requested. And we both love dressing her up!

4 Months
Cannot believe my baby is already 4 months old. Didn't we just bring her home from the hospital yesterday? It certainly feels like it! This has been a fun month for us because her developmental milestones are more noticeable now. That sweet little personality is starting to show. Still fussy? Yes, but not near as much.

Very Merry Christmas
This year was our first Christmas as parents. And even though Anna Ruth is only 4 months old we can already see how much fun the holidays are going to be from now on with her. Getting to share traditions and make new ones with our family is what I look forward to the most. After all, Christmas to me is about family, making memories and remembering the greatest gift that was ever given to any of us, Jesus.
We started the Christmas fun in Rockwood with my mom's side a few weeks before. We then got to celebrate Clint's birthday the weekend before Christmas with all his family (more on that in another post). On Christmas Day we headed to the lake house to spend time with the Davis'. Of course, I think it's told best through pictures, so enjoy...
