Picnic + River= Mistake

Saturday was such a nice day that we decided to pack a picnic lunch and take Chloe to a nearby park. There was a wonderful trail that followed a flowing river nearby. We spotted a bench that was right off the path and agreed it would make for a nice lunch spot. Boy, were we wrong! I noticed a few mosquitos landing on Clint's legs. I made mention of them and thought I was getting a few bites myself. Well as it turns out, while I was lunching on my sandwich, the mosquitos were FEASTING on my legs! When we returned to the car I told Clint that I thought I had been bit and asked if he could tell. "Oh my gosh," was his reaction. I counted over 20 bites on each leg! I have been in complete misery for the past 2 days. We were suppose to go on a hike with our Sunday school group the next day but had to opt out b/c I couldn't stand to think of getting bit one more time.

I have been in complete misery for the past 2 days. Not only does it itch like crazy but both my legs look disgusting. I'm stuck wearing pants in this hot weather. I must have some tasty blood!!!

New Job!!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to type that post title! Today, I got offered a job!! I have been waiting 9 months to get a "real" job and I am so ecstatic. I will be working out a two week notice at the chiropractic clinic and then will be jumping right into this new position. (4 days before we are set to close on our house!) The position title is Career Specialist (how ironic) and I will be working for a not-for-profit, community-based corporation that provides employment and training services to meet the needs of today’s workplace. I will provide more details about my job responsibilities once I start work. The good news is that I will finally be able to use some of the skills I acquired during my 6 years of college! Also, the hours are 8-4:30 which will be a welcomed change from the crazy schedule I have now. I will miss the girls I work with at the clinic ,but I think I will be parting on good terms so I can go by and visit anytime.

God is so good to us!
