Our Wedding Photographer Rocks!

I got an email today from our amazing wedding photographer who told me we have another credit to use! This is the 3rd credit we have received since Tara has taken our wedding pictures. Whenever we refer someone to her and they sign a contract, we get free pictures! I have not have to pay any extra for prints because I keep getting free ones. I was able to get two 8x10s for my mother and grandmother for Christmas and didn't pay a thing! There is nothing that this girls likes better than free stuff :)

I know I am bias, but I think our wedding pictures are amazing. Tara did such a great job. She was all over the place at our wedding. (I might also add she was pregnant at the time.) My nana still jokes about how she look up once during our wedding and Tara was in front of her taking pics. The next time she looked up, she was up by the alter getting a close up. I told Tara that all I have to do is show people the pictures and they speak for themselves. Clint is so funny because he keeps asking me, "When are you going to stop looking at those pictures." I think he is sick of seeing them. But, I love looking at them. They take me back to that day and I can remember exactly how I felt. That was truly the happiest day of my life. Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to go look at my pictures again. Yes Clint, this time I have a reason...I'm picking out free ones!

P.S. I might as well plug Tara again while I'm at it. She takes wonderful portraits too. Her prices are SOOOOO reasonable. I have her page linked on the left side of this page. Check out her work, the girl's got talent.

Happy Birthday Joe!

Today is Clint's dad's birthday. We were so glad we got to spend some time with him over Christmas and wish that we could be in Kingsport today. Joe has played such a huge role in Clint's life and has always been such a positive role model. Joe was Clint's best man at our wedding and he was perfect! He did everything a best man is suppose to do and then some. Clint couldn't have picked anyone better. One of my favorite things about Joe is his sense of humor. He's hilarious! After I met Joe and Lo for the first time, it wasn't hard to see where Clint got his wit. Joe, we love you and hope you have the best birthday ever!

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Today is one of my best friend's birthday. Sarah is turning 27 today and I am so sad I cannot be there to help her celebrate. Sarah and I met at MTSU my freshman year through ADPi. She actually was one of the first girls I met in my pledge class. We rode together on the way to our Bid Day celebration. We soon realized that we were both from East TN and lived only about 45 minutes away from each other (she is from Loudon). After talking we even discovered we had mutual friends. Not long after our meeting, we became best friends. We moved in together along with Bridget and those years we all lived together were some of my best years. We have made so many fun memories and traditions together. Sarah is honestly one of those friends who I can go weeks without talking to and we have no problem picking up right where we left off. She is such a kind, compassionate, and Godly women. I thank God every night that I can call Sarah my best friend and sister! I love you Sarah K!! Happy Birthday!

Financial Peace

If those 2 words don't make you think of Dave Ramsey where have you been?!? The church that Clint and I have been attending is offering Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace over the next 12 weeks. We have been pretty big fans of Dave for a while. When we heard we would have the opportunity to take these classes, it was a no brainer for us. Even though we have no debt, I think this class is going to beneficial for us. Clint and I are both pretty much clueless about finances. One thing we both agree on is saving money and using cash. We went yesterday for an introduction to the program and it really got me excited about all the things we are going to learn. God has really blessed us up to this point with finances and I feel like it is our responsibility to manage them in a smart way. Please pray for us as we learn together!

Congrats Tom and Erin!

I'm a little late posting this, but better late than never. My cousin Tom is engaged!! He is the oldest of the grandchildren and also the only boy (on both sides of his family)! Despite those factors, he has turned out to be quite a nice man...haha, he really is great! Tom is the true Southern Gentleman and any girl would have been lucky to get him. I could not be more excited for his upcoming marriage to Erin. I think I met her at my wedding, she was there with him, but you know that whole day went by so quickly that I cannot remember who I actually talked to. I look forward to talking with her and giving her all the dirt I know on Tom :)
Should I set a cot up next to mine for her at Hatchie Bottom?? That might be wishful thinking, I'm still trying to get Margs to join me!!
The happy couple. This is the only picture I have of them together :) I don't think W will be able to make it to the wedding though!

Happy 2008!

Clint and I are back in C'ville and back to our work routine. We really had a nice Christmas break. Well actually, I was the one with the break. My poor husband had to work everyday except Christmas and New Year's Eve. However, we still did a fair amount of family visisting over the weekends. I had to leave Clint at home when I went to Jackson. He was really bummed that he didn't get to visit everyone there. But, I had a great time catching up with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting Jackson is about the only time I get to hang out with my favorite cousin Margaret. Even though the visits are generally short, we still do our fair share of talking, chatting, gossiping, whatever you want to call it :) We had so much fun that I forgot to take any pictures!

Kingsport was our next stop and always a favorite, espeically now with Ryann in our lives. (Did we mention how much we love her?!?) I always feel the trip there is too short, no matter if we stay for 2 days or 2 weeks (that was back in our care-free college days).

I hope 2008 brings you many blessings. We are excited to see what new things come up in our lives together this year!

Christmas gift from Joe & Lo. We all share a love for Robert Tino pictures...Thanks guys!

JD is married!

Over the Christmas break my high school friend JD got married. I was so pleased that it worked out that I got to attend. She surprised us all a month ago when she announced that her wedding would take place in December instead of May. But, no sweat, I just rearranged some trips and there I was! (I told Clint not to worry, I was a master at planning road trips.)

The wedding was so nice and the bride was beautiful. It was great hanging out with the girls again for awhile. Our old friend Charissa even showed up, who by the way caught the lucky bouquet. Jessica tossed this bouquet at her wedding and I fought JD for it (and won). Not long after that, I was married. JD caught the same bouquet at my wedding and now she is married! Watch out Char, that thing is H-O-T!! We all had such a great time. We love you Mrs. Jackson!
