Clarksvillians

Well, we are here! After an exhausting day of moving from 9am-9pm, we finally made it. We are so thankful that Clint's dad took a day off from work and helped us move. There was no way we could have done it without him. We owe you Joe!

After day two of waiting on the cable guy, we finally are connected to the world. Man, you just don't realize how much you depend of the Internet or cable for that matter. Truthfully, it really wasn't so bad. It gave Clint and me time to unpack w/o the excuse of TV or computer to get in our way. And,we both love to read, so that is what we did at night...you know, like they did in the old days :) We still have many boxes to unpack and put away. But, I'm happy to report that after a morning spent scrubbing floors and cleaning, we are on our way to a normal living environment :)

Thankfully, I don't start my job until next Monday, so I have this week to get things in order. I have been playing the June Cleaver role so far. And, to my surprise, I have really been enjoying it. My days have been spent cleaning, going to the store, laundry, more cleaning, and fixing dinner before Clint comes home from work. On the other hand, I do know that this will only be for a week, so maybe that is why I'm enjoying it so much. (Or maybe it's because I can't stop doing laundry simply b/c I'm thrilled not to have to leave home to get it done!!) In any case, I know deep down, June Cleaver is not me and that I would soon be very eager to get out of the house. But, it does let me know that once the "C" word starts bouncing around in our vocabulary, I will be very capable of being a house mom! (No need to think about that right now!)

One thing that I do enjoy is cooking. I love reading cookbooks and finding new recipes to try out on my husband. Luckily, he is grateful for anything hot when he gets home, so if it's not so good, there is always tomorrow. Some of my fondest memories have been helping my grandmothers cook in the kitchen. I look forward to the day I get to pass down our family specialties!
I won't be posting any of our townhouse photos just yet. I want to wait until we get everything organized before I take pictures. But, if you know me, you know that probably won't be too long!!

I think you would be a good June Cleaver :) I always tell JR that if i was home all day he would come home to a spotless house and a wonderful meal... knowing good and well this would be my hope but probably not reality. None the less, that is why I am not at home right now and working hahah. LOVE YOU!
